Q and A

  1. QUESTION:
Some of my machines have DCI-2 and some have DCI-4. Does this matter?

    ANSWER:
No. These machines can live and talk happily together on the same network. However, DCI-2 has some known bugs, and has lower performance, so if you can upgrade the ROM on your DCI-2 cards, or softload the DCI-4 modules from hard disc, this is recommended.

  2. QUESTION:
How do I softload DCI-4 modules from hard disc?

    ANSWER:
The easy way is to let Acorn's new !Boot sequence do this for you....

  3. QUESTION:
I can't find a DCI-4 driver for my "EtherP" Parallel port ethernet adapter. Where is it?

    ANSWER:
Alas, at the time of writing, nobody has created a DCI-4 driver for this device.
